Healing Peptic Ulcers (Peptic Ulcer Diet)
At the beginning of 2010, I woke up to the worst heartburn I’ve ever had. Every once in awhile I use to occasionally have heartburn, but nothing as bad as this. I used some over the counter medication but nothing worked. This was a nasty pain located in my throat.
I went to work that day and the pain was unbearable. I went to the store and bought more antacids, but nothing was working. The pain in my throat was so bad that I literally had tears running down my face all day. When I went to sleep that night, I hoped that the pain would go away. It didn’t.
I set an appointment with my doctor, but the next day I found blood in my stool and rushed to see him.
I made an appointment with a specialist and he had me schedule an endoscopy. Once the procedure was done the doctor informed me that I had the early signs of an ulcer in my esophagus. The doctor prescribed me medication which worked wonders for about a month and then quit working. He told me to continue taking the medication and ignore the symptoms.
I had heartburn for 8 days in a row and that day something went seriously wrong. My problem got worse and had a constant pressure that I felt in my throat. My heartburn use to occasionally go away, but this time it was consistent.
I contacted several doctors who then prescribed me different medications, but nothing was working anymore. I was taking up to 10 pills daily with no positive results. A couple I know that are into raw foods and alternative medicine told me to come over to their house.
That night my friends helped me come up with a perfect plan to heal my ulcer naturally. I was able to quit all of my medication and learned how to live a healthier lifestyle without anything too drastic.
